Amortentia is the most powerful love potion in the world and is distinctive because of its pearly sheen, the steam that rises in spirals from the surface of the potion, and its smell. Unique to each witch or wizard, the smell is that of three things that most remind them of the person they love.

Word Origin: "Amor" is the latin word for "love," and "tentia" means "to tempt."
