Amycus is a Death Eater who took part in the attack on Hogwarts, and is the brother of Alecto. Described as "lumpy" and blonde, similar in build to his sister.
Amycus became the new Defence Against the Dark Arts Teacher at Hogwarts in 1997, and the program was renamed simply "Dark Arts". It is safe to assume that Amycus was sacked after Voldemort's fall, and that the class was named back.
