Bertha Jorkins is a witch who works for the 'Department of Magical Games and Sports' in the Ministry of Magic.

Bertha Jorkins traveled to Albania in the summer before Harry's fourth year at Hogwarts. It was there that she was abducted and later killed by Lord Voldemort and his followers in the summer of 1994.

Bertha was well known for her love of gossip. Bertha was the only person outside the Crouch family to know of Barty Crouch Jr.'s escape from Azkaban prison. After she was abducted she was then tortured and killed for information on Crouch and the Triwizard Tournament.
