Blaise Zabini is a student in the Slytherin house of Hogwarts. After being mentioned at the Sorting in first year, Blaise did not turn up again. For a long time not even his gender was known. This ambiuity led to a large volume of girl!Blaise fanfiction. In Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince JKR's confirmed that Blaise is definitely male and of African descent.
He is a member of the "Slug Club", and thinks that Ginny Weasley is an attractive blood-traitor. Blaise also tells Draco Malfoy in HBP that Slughorn did not seem keen on having known Death Eater's children in the "Slug Club".
