Centaur

A Centaur is half horse, half human. From head to hips it's human, and this body is on a horse body where a normal horse would have its neck and head. These centaurs are mentioned in the books:
In Harry Potter's wizarding world, centaurs keep themselves separated from the humans. They appear as a very thoughtful species which almost never answers a direct question. Some of them live in the Forbidden Forest.
In the ancient Greek mythology, centaurs are regarded as wild and often trying to rape human women - except for two of them which have a different genealogy: Chiron and Pholos.
