Harry Potter & The Prisoner of Azkaban
Cho makes her first appearance in the book but is only in a few scenes. The first scene is when Gryffindor faces Ravenclaw in Quidditch. Though he normally would try to knock someone off their broom, Harry is a gentleman and does not knock her. Because of this he is given harsh remarks from Oliver Wood. In the end, Gryffindor wins and Cho is okay with the loss. Cho only has another brief scene when she wishes Harry luck in Gryffindor's match against Slytherin. Cho doesn't appear in the film, most likely due to film time and because she didn't make much appearances in the book.
Harry Potter & The Goblet of Fire
Cho became more involved in this book as it was clearly shown that Harry liked her due to him going red when he sees her at the Quidditch World Cup. When the students returns to Hogwarts, Harry attempts to ask Cho out to the Yule Ball but she sadly tells him that she has already accepted an invitation from Cedric Diggory. Harry becomes jealous of Cedric when he sees that Cho and Cedric have started a relationship. When Cedric is killed at the end of the story she is crying over his death but doesn't blame Harry. Cho makes an appearance in the film and is played by Scottish actress Katie Leung.
Harry Potter & The Order of the Phoenix
In the fifth book, Cho looks for Harry but her first attempts to talk to him do not go well when she finds him covered in goo and then Ron bashes the Quidditch Team she supports. She finally manages to talk to Harry when she defends him from Filch who thinks he is up to something. When Harry decides to make Dumbledore's Army, Cho joins but also brings her best friend Marietta Edgecombe. She is a very good witch but sometimes makes mistakes due to her grief of losing Cedric. During Christmas, Harry and Cho are talking when a mistletoe appears above them and they kiss. Harry and Cho start going out at this point but on Valentine's Day, Harry is with Cho at Madam Puddifoot's in which he wants to go meet Hermione so that he can document what happened last year but she thinks that he would rather be with Hermione then her and they have a fight which ends with her running off crying. Harry and Cho eventually make up but it is then tested again when Marietta betrays Dumbledore's Army where they have another fight where Cho defends Marietta and is about to cry when Harry tells her that he is fed up with her crying. She runs off and Harry in told that Cho is going out with Michael Corner. But at the time he had just lost his godfather Sirius Black, and states that he no longer has any feelings for her. In the film, Cho and Harry do not go on their valentine's date and also Cho is actually the one that tells about Dumbledore's Army but under the Veritaserum potion. Cho is reprised by Katie Leung.
Harry Potter & The Half-Blood Prince/Deathly Hallows
Cho is only seen briefly by Harry on the train to Hogwarts when he sees her with Marietta and he and Ron talk about her when he says that they just fell out.
In the final book, Cho makes more of an appearance when she re-joins Dumbledore's Army and helps defend Hogwarts. Harry and Cho seem to be on good terms and she volunteers to take him to the Ravenclaw Common Room but Ginny Weasley convinces Harry to take Luna Lovegood instead. It is unknown what happens to Cho after the battle, it is not stated that she is either alive or killed in the battle.
Katie Leung who plays as Cho said that she doesn't think she will be back in the Half Blood Prince film as Cho is not in much of the book, but she would be excited to come back.
