Colin Creevey is a student in the Gryffindor house of Hogwarts, one year younger than Harry. Colin is fascinated with photography and spends a lot of time taking photos of students, even going so far as to demanding them to be signed, to the annoyance of Harry Potter. He has a younger brother, Dennis, who is also in Gryffindor. Both of them are members in Dumbledore's Army.
In his first year Colin is the first human victim of the Basilisk attack, though he is saved by his camera, and he spends the rest of the year Petrified.
Name Origin: Colin means youth, child, or victor.
Colin gets killed in the battle of Hogwarts, presumably by a death eater, due to his failure to comply with Minerva Magonagalls instruction, telling him to leave Hogwarts as he was to young to fight.
Son of a muggle postman.
