Dawlish

Dawlish (first name John, according to a post-Deathly Hallows interview with JK Rowling) is an Auror with short, wiry, gray hair. According to Albus Dumbledore, he achieved "Outstanding" marks on all his NEWTs. In Harry's fifth year, Dawlish and Kingsley Shacklebolt escorted Fudge when he attempted to arrest Dumbledore, who memory-charmed and later hexed him when he escaped. During Harry's sixth year, Dawlish was stationed in Hogsmeade together with three other Aurors to give special protection to Hogwarts School.
