The Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes belongs to the Ministry of Magic. This department is in charge of exactly what the name indicates. It is located at level three in the Ministry and incorporates these institutions:
- Accidental Magic Reversal Squad
- Obliviator Headquarters (see Obliviate)
- Muggle-Worthy Excuse Committee
The Magical Law Enforcement Squad is a task force of this department.
