A Firebolt is the most advanced model of broomsticks used to play Quidditch. A single Firebolt costs as much as a complete set of standard broomsticks for a full Quidditch team. It surpasses all other models in speed, reacts to the finest touch of the rider, and can stop from full speed in zero time.

Sirius Black sends Harry Potter a Firebolt as a Christmas present during Harry's third year at Hogwarts. Firebolts are also used by the international professional Quidditch teams during the Quiddith World Cup in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
