Flint is a term used by members of the Harry Potter fandom to refer to a minor continuity error committed by JK Rowling. See the notes on Marcus Flint for more details.

- Marcus Flint unexplainedly stays on in Hogwarts for an extra year (hence the expression).
- Dennis Creevey goes to the Hog's Head for the first DA meeting, despite being a second year and not being allowed to go.
- Percy Weasley removes five points from Gryffindor in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets despite Prefects not being allowed to (although he may have just been showing off his authority).
