Grey Lady

The Grey Lady is the Hogwarts house ghost of Ravenclaw . When she lived, she was known as Helena Ravenclaw. She is probably named after Lady Jane Grey, the unfortunate English queen who was beheaded in 1553 at age fifteen. She is also the daughter of Rowena Ravenclaw. When Helena Rowenclaw attended Hogwarts, she stole her mother's diadem. She sought to make herself cleverer, so she stole the diadem and ran away with it. Her mother, pretended she still had the diadem, and hid from the other founders of Hogwarts that it was gone. When her mother fell ill, despite Helena's betrayal, she wanted to see her again. So she sent the Bloody Baron who loved Helena, to find her. She knew the Baron would not rest until he found her. He found her in a forest where she was hiding. When she refused to go back with him, he became violent. Because the Baron was furious of her refusal and jealous of her freedom, he stabbed her. When the Baron realized what he had done, he was filled with remorse. He took the weapon that took her life and killed himself. The diadem stayed where it was hidden in a hollow tree in a forest in Albania, until centuries later when Lord Voldemort or known as Tom Marvolo Riddle then, tricked the hiding spot out of Grey Lady, and took it, to turn it into a horcrux. Nina Young plays the Grey Lady in the Harry Potter films.
