Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is the third book in the Harry Potter series written by JK Rowling. It was released in the United Kingdom on July 8th, 1999, and in the United States on September 8th, 1999. Amazon.co.uk placed a limit on orders of the book that were sent to U.S. addresses because Scholastic was concerned that die-hard fans would purchase the Bloomsbury edition, and not the Scholastic one.
