Hog's Head

The Hog's Head is a dingy pub in Hogsmeade. It was the first meeting place for the DA (chosen in the hope they would not be overheard), and it also is the place where Sybill Trelawney gave the first of her two true prophecies in a job interview for the Divination position.

The Hog's Head has been described as rather dirty and smelling of goats. The barman is supposedly Aberforth Dumbledore.

Name Origin: In Old English, a hoggshead was a medium-sized barrel holding fifty-four gallons of ale. It is similar to the Boar's Head Tavern in Shakespeare's Henry IV
