Marietta Edgecombe

Marietta Edgecombe is a student in the Ravenclaw house of Hogwarts, probably one year older than Harry, and is Cho's friend. The latter is the reason why she joins Dumbledore's Army. Marietta, who has reddish-blond curly hair, is the one who tells The High Inquisitor, Dolores Umbridge, about Dumbledore's Army. After telling Umbridge, the word 'sneak' appears in purple pustules across her face, thanks to Hermione's jinx. Kingsley uses a memory charm on Marietta before she can tell Cornelius Fudge what she knows.

Marietta's mother is Madam Edgecombe.

Name Origin: Marietta means little bitter.
