A Nimbus Two Thousand is an advanced model of broomstick, built by the Nimbus Racing Broom Company used to play Quidditch. A Nimbus Two Thousand surpasses most other models in speed and flexibility. However, there are two models that can beat a Nimbus Two Thousand any time - a Nimbus Two Thousand and One and of course a Firebolt.

Harry Potter was given a Nimbus Two Thousand in his first year, after making the position of Seeker on the Gryffindor Quidditch team. Harry's Nimbus was subsequently destroyed in his third year, when it went crashing into the Whomping Willow after Harry fell during a Quidditch match.
