Norwegian Ridgeback

Norwegian Ridgeback is a dragon breed native of Norway. The scales are black, and the jet-black ridges along its back are particularly prominent. In contrast to most other breeds, Norwegian Ridgebacks also feed on water-dwelling creatures.

In Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, Hagrid is given a Norwegian Ridgeback egg which he hatches. He names the baby dragon Norbert.
