Quidditch
From Hpwiki
Quidditch is the most popular and most dangerous sport in the wizarding world. Quidditch is played by riding on broomsticks in the air. The game is played with four balls: the two Bludgers, Quaffle and the Golden Snitch. There are two teams, with seven players on each team. The different positions are: three Chasers, two Beaters, one Keeper and one Seeker. Chasers are charged with getting a Quaffle through one of 3 high rings on the Quidditch field, while dodging Bludgers that are hit at them by the opposing team's Beaters. The game ends when one of the Seekers catches the Snitch, at which point the team with the highest score wins. When the Golden Snitch is caught, that team's Seeker receives 150 points for their team, which almost always wins them the game, though it is possible (technically) for the other team to win by being more than 150 points ahead. However, as this would lose the game, it's unlikely that the team with the lower score's Seeker would choose to catch the Snitch in that situation. Every year thirteen professional British Quidditch teams play for the League Cup.
