Spells
From Hpwiki
Spells are used in order to perform some kind of magic, often making an object behave in a manner normally alien to said object. They are limited, however, and spells can not be expected to solve any problems, though minor issues can usually be solved with the use. A wizard can use their wand in order to channel their magic.
Non-verbal magic is also possible, as is magic without the use of a wand, but it is very advanced magic.
Below, find an alphabetized list of every spell that has shown up in the books, movies, trading cards, or video games. (Any spell with a "*" next to it means that the incantation is from the movie, and if there is "**" next to it, it's from the video games.)

Curses
Curses are a specific kind of spell which are often used to inflict pain, or have some ill intention on behalf of the caster to the target.
Unforgivable Curses
The Unforgivable Curses are three curses that will earn you a lifetime sentence in Azkaban at the use of any one of the three: Avada Kedavra, The Cruciatus Curse (Crucio) and the Imperius Curse (Imperio). Harry and his friends learn of them in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire from Professor Moody, who demonstrates the use of them on three spiders.
Lord Voldemort and his Death Eaters are reknown for their careless use of theses curses, especially during their time of "reign" in the late 1970s.
