The Lost Diadem

The Lost Diadem is an ornamental jewelled headdress created by Rowena Ravenclaw, which is supposed to bestow wisdom onto the wearer. The diadem was deemed lost after being stolen and hidden by Rowena's daughter, but later found by Voldemort, who turned it into a horcrux and hid it in the room of requirement.

The diadem was accidentally destroyed by Vincent Crabbe in the room of requirement, when he used fiendfyre to try and kill Harry, Ron and Hermione. Crabbe was killed in the blaze as he did not know how to control it. Draco Malfoy was saved by Harry.
