| Dursley is a town near JK Rowling's birthplace. |
Vernon Dursley is Harry's uncle - married to Petunia, the sister of Harry's mother; father of Dudley; and brother of Marge. A short-tempered man who detests Harry and anything remotely connected to the wizarding world. He treats Harry with extreme cruelty which eases somewhat over time as he receives threats from Harry's friends and protectors.
