Wilkie Twycross is an Apparition instructor from the Ministry, extolls the virtues of the three D's: Destination, Determination, Deliberation. He is described as small and "oddly colourless, with transparent eyelashes, wispy hair and an insubstantial air, as though a single gust of wind might blow him away". Harry theorises this may be due to constant Apparition. Mocked by the students, whose politer nicknames for him include Dog-breath and Dung-head. Ron notes that he praises students who learn quickly, namely Hermione.
