Ballycastle Bats

The Ballycastle Bats are a Quidditch team based in Ballycastle, Northern Ireland. They are the second most successful team in the Quidditch League with 27 championship wins. Their mascot Barny the Fruitbat has featured in adverts for Butterbeer. On 8 February 1999 they were at the top of the League table with 760 points after beating former League leaders the Tutshill Tornados. By 1 June they were ahead by 800 points, and on 1 October by 820 points. It was also announced in the same edition of the Daily Prophet that the venue for their upcoming match against Caerphilly Catapults was still to be decided as Muggles were camping on the pitch.
