Montrose Magpies

The Montrose Magpies are a Quidditch team based in Montrose, a small town in the east of Scotland between Aberdeen and Dundee. They are the most successful team in the British and Irish Quidditch League, having won no less than thirty two times. They have been European champions twice.

Robes
The robes they wear are black and white, with one magpie on the front and another on the back.

Famous Players
- Eunice Murray, a Seeker who once asked for a faster snitch because 'this is just too easy.' Died 1942.
- Hamish MacFarlan, Captain of the side for eleven years between 1957 and 1968. He was a successful player who later went on to become the Head of the Department of Magical Games and Sports in the Ministry of Magic.
- Fabius Watkins (1940-1975), Captain and Chaser, died in a freak collision with a helicopter.
- Alasdair Maddock, current Chaser with a fascination for Muggle sports.

They were held to draw in 1986 by the African team, the Patonga Proudsticks, much to the astonishment of most of the Quidditch-playing world.
